Cavity back  -  Iron where weight is distributed primarily around the outer edges of the club head

Any iron whose design characteristic is such that the weight is distributed primarily around the outer edges of the club head in order to maximize forgiveness on off-center hits.

It's a style of club head where the mass is distributed more toward the perimeter of the club head in order to increase the effective size of the center of mass
